Patch 5.3 adds several new bosses to the Brawler's Guild, as well as some other things:
  • Card Trader Ami will sell you cards that allow you to fight bosses from ranks you have already defeated.
  • Defeating some of the new bosses will give you access to some of the new Brawler's Guild shirts.
  • Defeating all of the new bosses will give you the Wraps of the Blood-Soaked Brawler.
  • A new VIP lounge has been added on the zeppelin circling the arena for Rank 8 players. The Alliance also have a VIP lounge in the balcony.
  • Reaching Rank 9 will give you another invite to the brawler's guild.
  • Reaching Rank 10 rewards access to purchase the Brawler's Burly Mushan Beast.
  • Spectator totems and consoles have been added to give you a better view of the fight.
  • The Alliance fight pit floor has been raised to make it easier to view the fight.

Patch 5.3 - Reduced Costs for Patch 5.2 Heirlooms

Patch 5.3 will reduce the price for the new heirlooms added in 5.3 by 60%. Don't forget that Two new Heirloom Shields that cost 2175 Justice Points each are also coming in Patch 5.3!
  • Heirlooms purchased with Justice points had costs reduced from 2175, 2725, and 3500 Justice Points to 870, 1090, and 1400 Justice Points.
  • Heirlooms purchased with Honor points reduced from 2175, 2725, and 3500 Honor points to 870, 1090, and 1400 Honor points.
  • Heirlooms purchased with Darkmoon Faire prize tickets reduced from 110, 130, and 160 prize tickets to 44, 60, and 64 prize tickets.

With the conflict heating up between the Horde and Alliance in Pandaria, both sides continue to seek the upper hand in this seemingly endless conflict. While the Alliance grows stronger amid the pressures of war, the Horde, under the weight of Garrosh’s command, continues to fracture. The Darkspear Trolls are rebelling, Orgrimmar is on lock down, and the Warchief has sent crews into the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and into the Northern Barrens in search of resources to push his war machine forward.
  

In patch 5.3, we’re turning up the heat between the Horde and Alliance with a new chain of level 90 quests that will take you further into this ever evolving story. Beginning with a letter and quest (War is Coming) from Lorewalker Cho, you’ll be asked to seek him out in the Seat of Knowledge within the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

He’s been keeping a close eye on the action between the Horde and Alliance and has a tale or two to share, though incomplete. Using the Dream Brew (or queuing through the Dungeon Finder) you’ll experience the Blood in the Snow and Dark Heart of Pandaria scenario before being sent on to Durotar to continue your journey.

This is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself of the lore of the game and simple enough for those of us that are dipping our toe in the lore pool for the first time.

We are VERY happy to announce that if you have been missing out on the Twisted Empire experience because you favor the Alliance, the wait is over.  Twisted Empire now has an Alliance guild!  We have created it on the same server as Twisted Empire (to be heirloom friendly) and the focus of it all is to be in mumble, having fun, tearing up BG's, helping each other and being awesome as usual.

If you haven't already acquired a brawlers guild invite, don't worry! In 5.3 rare spawns in Pandaria (Except those on Isle of Thunder) will now have a chance o drop a bind-on-pickup invitation to the Brawler's Guild.

In fact 5.3 brings a whole plethora of of new Titles, Pet and mount rewards! 50 of them to be exact. 

Titles include Gorgeous <Name> a reward for completing Master of Deepwind Gorge and lets face it... who doesn't want that title? There has been several new titles added to PvP!

There is also a new reward for completing Mount Parade. All of you dedicated Mount collectors can rejoice as the latest mount collectors achievement sees you push for 200 mounts in your barn! Depending on you're faction you will receive an Armored Blue Dragonhawk (Ally) or Armored Red Dragonhawk (Horde)

If you defeat all the new rare Brawler's Guild Bosses, Alliance: Deck Your Collection / Horde: Deck Your Collection , now rewards to with a lovely new Shirt: Warps of the Blood-Socked Brawler

When 5.2 dropped on us, we saw a lot of changes to professions! 5.3 does include a few tweaks and here they are:

Mining
Herbalism
Also, on the lastest 5.3 PTR build, Tiny Red Carp, Tiny Green Carp, Tiny Blue Carp and Tiny White Carp seem to be available to fish up. Although they have a very low chance of being caught on the live. They are also BoP and unable to be caged. So you have to go catch it yourself. 

The idea behind this is great. If (like me) you leveled all the way to 90 and professions where an afterthought, This allows you to pick herbs or mine nodes, with very little skill, to make your flasks, gear or even just some gold. Don't look at this as a way to level Herbing and Mining faster though because even though you're getting the herbs and nodes... you won't be getting any skill points.

Have you ever sat there wishing you could take on a Blizzard Employee in a PvP situation? You have?! Well this may interest you friend. 

Blizzard employees have issued a challenge!

TONIGHT 4pm-6pm PDT they will be logging onto the PTR relams and queing for 5.3's new Battleground Deepwind Gorge.

They will have two guilds Blizzard Horde & Blizzard Alliance. 

So get on the PTR, que for Deepwind Gorge and prepare for what looks to be A LOT of fun! Perhaps I shall see you there... Ohhhh yes. This cannot be missed i'll be hitting up my Disc Priest (Denna) and i hope to see a bunch of you accepting the challenge.

Another new Scenario has been added to the 5.3 PTR.

Battle of the High Seas is, as you would expect, a a naval battle that requires you to jump between Alliance and Horde ships, go hand to hand with pirates and blow things up! There a few variations on how the scenario plays out for each faction but objectives remain the same. Defeat enemy pirates, blow up an enemy ship and defeat the enemy Admiral.

There are fruit juice barrels on different boats to regain your health using Vitamin C  as well as Travel Cannons to use for jumping between ships. You can use the rope ladders to get down into the water to swim across but it isn't recommended as you will aggro some deadly NCP's!

You can also gain buffs from objects around the ships. During the final stage you can click a nearby rapier and gain a 10% stamina buff and also a pirate hat disguise when you click on the Pirate Hats laying around the ships. 

Do you like to gamble? Good! There is an item located in the bottom on the main central ship and you can roll it to get some great buffs or some less so. If you roll and 8 you will get a nice constant heal but rolling a 6 will set off loads of cannons that could quite easily kill you AND your party. Its likely you will get a buff called A Pirates Life. Any attacks that would otherwise kill you will instead restore 100% maximum health.

  • Raids, Dungeons, and Scenarios
    • Throne of Thunder
      • Lei Shen
        • Lei Shen's hitpoints have been reduced by 10% on Raid Finder difficulty.
        • Static Shock from the North Conduit now deals 300,000 damage at 0 energy, down from 650,000 on Raid Finder difficulty.
        • Diffusion Chain from the East Conduit will now jump to another player up to 6 yards away, down from 8 yards on Raid Finder difficulty.
        • Diffused Lightning (including Greater and Lesser varieties) now deals less damage on Raid Finder difficulty.
        • Overcharge from the South Conduit now stuns affected targets for 1 second, down from 3 seconds on Raid Finder difficulty.
